Customer Comment Ryan Barrett June 13, 2006 Forum Comment http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/333850.html?1150340641 There is a guy in Spokane, WA that makes the platforms . . . He talked
me into making it that big, so it would completely cover the outdrive,
and now I'm glad he did. It is 3/4" thick fiberglass with the tapered
rim board. It's nice because it makes the boat a lot bigger space wise,
and gives you a place to put your board on. The platform is supported
with 3 diagonal braces to the rear of the boat. The boat was reinforced
at the connection locations. . . it's solid. One negative though, you
can't drive very fast in reverse . . . I did it once and the platform
dug into the water and darn near swamped the boat, live and learn. |

Had the swim platform made this spring . . . it's big and functions great. Ryan |

Customer Comment Burt March 30, 2008 Scott, Finally got a chance to mount the swim platform yesterday. Looks good. L brackets could of been a little longer because of my weird transom curvature but overall went on smooth. Attached some pics for you. Thanks for your nice product. Customer Comment Connolley December 17, 2008 December 17th, 2008 Scott Kurtz Dear Scott, In October when finding our boat had broken away from the dock we were crushed. The boat we washed and kept ding free was ruined. I found your company by chance on the internet and set up an appointment. You were immediately able to assess the damage, gave us a timely quote and completed the job within the timeframe that you promised. We have our beloved family boat back looking as good as new. Thank you! Sincerely, Mark Connolley Customer Comment Howrey January 2, 2009 02/02/09 To whom it may concern: I have had the pleasure of doing business with Scott Kurtz at Contemporary Fiberglass for the last 4 years. I bought a used Glastron 185 Ski/Fish that had been repossessed and neglected. I took it to Scott to be checked out and detailed. When I went to pick it up I couldn’t believe how good it looked. It was like a new boat. I have been taking it to Scott ever since and have referred my friends to him for all their needs. His winterization is one of the best priced in town and I even store my boat in his shop over the winter. This off season I had him build a swim platform on the back. It looks like it was built with the boat. I can’t wait for spring to come just to get it out on the water. I would recommend Scott to any boat owner looking for fast, courteous and quality service. Sincerely, Charles Howrey Customer Teri Miller February 17, 2009 Scott: Just a quick note to let you know how happy we are with the repairs completed recently on our jet ski. It looks like new which is surprising considering how much damage was done to it. We will definitely continue to send our friends in need of boat care to you. And of course, you will be the only person that we trust to maintain our other boat. It’s nice to have someone to bring it to that does it all. The swim platform that you installed two years ago still looks like the day you installed it. It has added so much to our overall boating experience it is hard to put into words. It is hard to imagine boating without it now. And of course, no more worries about the kids falling into the outdrive. Thanks again for all your hard work. Spokane needs more small business owners like you!
Sincerely, Teri Miller Customer Karl Harmon May 1, 2009 Great job Scott on my platform! The blue matched perfectly and it really does look like it came right from the factory as you promised. I love the size and the installation seems rock solid. I'll get some pictures to you when I get it on the water. Thanks again for your efforts. Karl Harmon, Coure D'alene, Id Customer Comment Jim Clark June 18, 2009 Email received 6/18/08 Scott custom designed and made my safe step swim platform in record time, and it is perfect. I'll be spending time on the ocean, in my 21 foot Chris Craft Scorpion, and this step adds a lot of safety, as well as allowing me to put the fish box on the outside of the boat. This is a good looking, rock solid platform - well worth the price. Thanks to Scott at Contemporary Fiberglass! Jim Clark Customer Comment Sally and Richard Simundson August 4, 2009 Dear Scott: Enclosed is my check in the amount of $xxxx.xx for repair and painting of our Neptune 24 sailboat. We are very pleased with the work and think our boat looks great. We will definitely be passing on your name to our friends and neighbors. Thanks again for your hard work, Sally and Richard. Note from Scott* This was a mobile bottom painting job at the Panhandle Yacht Club. I do three or four jobs there every year. That's me, Scott, looking like Papa Smurf with Sally and RIchard's boat in the background.
Customer Comment Ian Scumacher September 12, 2009 Scott: Just wanted to let you know we used the boat for the first time this weekend since you added the platform. It sat in the water perfectly..exactly as I wanted! It feels very strong and it looks Great. We had four large adults on it at one time and it felt very stable. Thanks again for listening to me and following my instructions so closely. Ian Schumacher Customer Comment Andy Mussa September 13, 2009 Scott, here is what the platform you made looks like on my boat! works out very well. I have a 3 step ladder and would like to know if I can get a 4 step ladder from same manufacture so mounting holes match up. Look forward hearing from you! Andy Customer Comment Brea Lund September 14, 2009 Scott: Thank you so much for the great paint job on my truck. It looks absolutely amazing. I couldn't be more happy with it and I'm beyond grateful. Yours truly, Brea Lund
Customer Comment John Newman January 14, 2010 Scott: Just a note to personnaly thank you for all you have done for me and my ski boat. I know when I first met you 5 years ago that I didn't know anything about boats. That first year ended up being pretty costly after the prop repair, etc... But from listening to your advice regarding driving lessons and recommended care and maintenance, I think I did pretty good these past two years, huh? We've thoroughly enjoyed taking friends and family out on the river. It has become one of our favorite activities. I don't know anybody else that meets their customers at the ramp at the end of the year to assist in pull out and delivers the boat to the ramp in the spring. Your generosity is appreciated and I understand why when I come to your shop you are buried in boats! I've heard others talk about your customer-first attitude and skills as a boat maintainer. I want you to know I echo their comments. And we love your mechanic Frank. You guys are honest and fair. You've been wonderful and Jeanne and I thank you. See you in the spring!
